My father recently passed away after struggling with Parkinson’s & COPD. As I was on this journey, I realized the importance of leading with empathy.

I reflected on my graduation from the MOR program and wondered how to keep that energy going? What are some specific things you can start doing today.

I wrote these essays to help new leaders as they began their leadership journeys. They were also valuable to more experienced leaders.

At first, the prospect of leaving management was concerning. What would it mean for my career prospects? What would happen to my current team?

People have recently been fired, the economy is at risk, and 3.5X more rate passion as their top priority compared to job security - passion  counts!

We have seen modest, attentive and unlikely behaviors, consistently performed, create breakthrough growth in leadership and life many, many times.

I recently took on a new role. Reflecting on one’s leadership is an ongoing task, with some spots along the way requiring a deeper look.

The challenge was to design and deliver an experience that does result in sustainable improvements in people’s leadership effectiveness.

Lessons learned the first 25 years have shaped MOR’s philosophy and approach to adult learning and the design of programs offered today.

I first met MOR and Brian McDonald 17 years ago when I was selected to attend the IT Leaders Program in the first cohort from Indiana University.
